The purpose of this policy is to explain how Wells Construction & Son will look after your personal details that you entrust with us.

This information is collected from you when you first make an enquiry with us and is amended if you inform us that your contact details have changed or are incorrect.

Under the General Data Protection Regulations 2018 (GDPR) we will process this information under a lawful basis of consent and legitimate interests. Your information will be used to contact you regarding your building work from which you made the initial enquiry.

Customer confidentiality is very important to us; we will never offer, sell, lease, rent, loan, transfer, trade, publish or provide any customer information to any third party. We may disclose some of your personal information to legitimate interests pursued by a third party such as trades men, suppliers, a debt collection agency if you persistently refuse to pay for work received. All our employees or subcontractors that come into contact with your personal information are bound by a confidentiality agreement to ensure that they exercise the same level of care when handing your personal information.

With your express permission we may post images of your work on our website but your personal details will never be disclosed.

Wells Construction uses all reasonable security measures to ensure that any and all personal information collected is protected. We take precautions to protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure, alteration or destruction. Your information will be held securely, electronically in a password protected environment on our business computer and in a paper file which is kept in the office.

Under the GDPR you have the right to be informed about how your data is used and the right to access personal data we hold about you. We will provide this data to you within one month of any application and we will not charge for this service. You also have the right to rectification of data that is inaccurate or incomplete and the right to erasure unless there is a compelling reason for us to keep it by law. You have the right to restrict processing of your personal data and the right to data portability. You have the right to object any data processing, based on a legitimate interest.
